Carlton won the AFL premiership, defeating Geelong in the Grand Final. It was the club's sixteenth and, as of 2021, most recent premiership. It was a record-breaking season for the club, in which it set a new record by winning twenty matches during the premiership season. The club also fielded its reserves team in the Victorian State Football
