The 2022 KINAL internal referendum was announced by Nikos Androulakis, President of KINAL on April 1, 2022, and was held on May 8, 2022. The question set to party members was whether the Movement would keep the same name and emblem, or whether it would shift back to the historical symbol of the PA.SO.K., the Green Sun, and rename itself "PASOK - Movement of Change".
