Karl Fredrik "Charles" Ericksen was a Norwegian-American wrestler who competed in the 1904 Summer Olympics for the United States. At the 1904 Olympics, he won a gold medal in the freestyle welterweight category, wrestling on the United States team. In 2012, Norwegian historians found documentation showing that Ericksen did not receive American citizenship until 22 March 1905. The historians thus petitioned to have Ericksen's Olympic gold registered as Norwegian.
