Lieutenant Colonel Charles Edmund Towry-Law, 3rd Baron Ellenborough, was a member of the House of Lords. He was the oldest surviving son of the Hon. Charles Law QC who had 10 children. Law succeeded to the title on the death of his uncle, Edward Law, 1st Earl of Ellenborough, in 1871. He was educated at Winchester College and joined the British Army in 1844.
