text: Pre-mRNA-splicing factor ATP-dependent RNA helicase PRP16 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DHX38 gene. DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases.
