Eugen-Heinrich Bleyer was a German general during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Bleyer surrendered to the Yugoslavian troops in May 1945. In 1949 he was sentenced to death. However, in 1950, his sentence was commuted to 18 years in prison. He was released from prison in 1952.
