The Liberator Party was a political party in Brazil which existed for two periods between 1928 and 1937 and then between 1945 and 1965. The PL's first incarnation was founded by members of the Rio Grande do Sul Federalist Party, notably Joaquim Francisco de Assis Brasil. Despite being the traditional opponents of the Riograndense Republican Party, it participated in the Gaucho United Front which supported the candidacy of Getúlio Vargas in the 1930 election.
