text: Pholidoptera fallax is a species of 'katydids crickets' belonging to the family Tettigoniidae subfamily Tettigoniinae. This cricket is mainly present in Austria, France, Italy, Romania, Greece, Slovenia and Switzerland. The adult males grow up to 15–18 millimetres (0.59–0.71 in) long, while females reach 17–23 millimetres (0.67–0.91 in). They can be encountered from July through October in clearings, dry forest edges, etc. The basic coloration of the body varies from dark brownish to pale brown,
