Sara Del Carmen Jofre González was the President and CEO of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (1996–2008) and founder of the Hispanic American Center for Economic Development (2001) in Atlanta. She received the Civic Venture's Purpose Prize, in 2007, for her work and leadership in social innovation; MALDEF's"Lifetime Achievement Award" in 2008; and the Georgia State Senate's Resolution SR 1102, also in 2008, for her work and leadership in social innovation.
